Wanted to take a moment to send out a very special “Thank You” to all of you who supported me in my Facebook quest to win a scholarship to an amazing Digestive Intensive by the Holistic Nutrition Lab earlier this month. You helped my post reach more than 300 likes and I won 2nd place in the popular vote. Although I did not get first place, your outpouring of “likes” and support was amazing.
BUT, March is a lucky month for the Irish (like me)! Andrea Nakayama was feeling very generous and instead of giving out 3 scholarships to her digestive program, she gave out 7! And I was included on that lucky list of scholarship winners. So THANK YOU! The HNL Digestive Intensive is a four week course comprised of live lectures, online learning, handouts and other resources. This course is going to help take my health coaching to a new level with some of my clients who are experiencing allergies, eczema, auto-immune diseases, cancer, depression, belly bloating, and so much more.
Your digestive system is at the core of the health of every other system in your body. We are all so familiar with the phrase “You are what you eat.” But maybe more appropriate is, “You are what your body can break down and absorb.” Your digestive system is at the root of your wellness.
Class is going to cover gas and bloating; heartburn/acid reflux/GERD; constipation and diarrhea; hemorrhoids; and irritable bowel syndrome. Lots of learning about poop! Never thought I’d be so excited about that, especially after changing a couple thousand poopy diapers over the past years.
A few months back, I had a client who “tested” my 7 Day Go Clean & Green in 2013 Cleanse. She recently shared the following on my BHBH FB page, “Update on my Fall, 2012 cleanse – I have hardly been sick at all this winter (ask M, I usually am sick a lot!) and I attribute my health this season to my cleanse last fall and subsequent months of having protein shakes, drinking tea, and healthier eating! Thanks for all your help!!!”
70+% of your immune system is located in your gut. Imagine what is going on in there if you are not eating so well.
Really grateful to be growing my digestive knowledge with this special scholarship that each of you helped me win. Many, many thanks and I look forward to sharing my new-found knowledge with you very soon. And in case you have not found me on my FB page, please head on over to www.facebook.com/betterhealthbyheather and “like” me to make sure you get all my digestive updates over the next few weeks. Will be excited to share all that I am learning! And I hope the lucky leprechaun visits each of you this month.
